C. Denise Hicks

“I have been on the mountain and witnessed the bush burning but it was not consumed”

​C. Denise Hicks like yourself can identify with this philosophy of life. A native of Kent County, Delaware born and raised. Professionally, she managed the finances for Delaware State College now University, and served as a student advisor. Once retired from her career at the College, she began working with Zale’s Corporation, which led to her being promoted to management. Later, making yet another career move, she managed a Tax Credit Community. Once she retired, she became a homeowner thanks to the knowledge she gained during her time working in tax credit housing. With this knowledge, she started with a NCALL meeting and matriculated from workshop to workshop to Homeownership. She now serves as a member of the NCALL Board of Directors.
