A principled business strategist with the powerful ability to recognize viable business markets and growth opportunities, Santosh Viswanathan is an expert at implementing techniques to grow revenues, nurture opportunities, increase customer satisfaction, grow market share, and deliver profit improvements.
In 2018, Mr. Viswanathan launched a web Portal, 20groupdealertrades.com to capitalize on a major dislocation in the market place to facilitate disposal of aged pre-owned inventory. The Portal has allowed franchised auto dealers in the U.S. to trade pre-owned inventory amongst each other. A first of its kind, auto dealers have been actively engaging on this Portal and relying less on the traditional auctions by dealing direct and saving money.
In 2004, Mr. Viswanathan partnered with a former colleague and became the CEO and Managing Partner of Willis Ford in Smyrna, DE. Since that time, Santosh has led the company to record results having almost doubled sales, in spite of the recessionary environment. He has led the automation of business processes, increased customer sales and service satisfaction scores above the national average, and implemented e-initiatives that account for 35% of sales.
During the bank led recession and global restructuring of the automotive industry wherein sales were at record lows, Santosh recognized the strategic value of his sales cadre and re-engineered the sales compensation plan to provide a fixed salary to ensure his employees' ability to meet their financial obligations. As a result, his company retained all of its sales team, and when the market improved, Willis Ford was an immediate sales leader that was cited by the Ford Motor Company as the "fastest growing Ford store in its zone."
Santosh serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Ford Dealer Advertising Fund. He is the Chairman of the Legislative Committee of the Delaware Auto Dealers Association and the NADA PAC for the State of Delaware.
