Owner/Operator, The Meoli Companies
Michael Meoli started honing his business skills early – essentially growing up within the McDonald’s franchise system. He grew up working in the restaurants his family owned which helped him to develop strong business operations and financial management skills. After graduating from Shepherd University with a degree in Hotel/ Restaurant management, Mike spent a brief time working in the hotel business in downtown Baltimore. He returned to working in his family’s Maryland-based McDonald’s business full-time in 1987 and re-located to Delaware in 1991 to build his own McDonald’s portfolio.
As a second-generation Owner/Operator, Mr. Meoli has spent nearly his entire life within the McDonald’s system. Growing up in the family-owned restaurant business helped him develop strong skills in financial management and operational excellence. His restaurants are consistently recognized for their outstanding achievements in customer satisfaction, superb operations and great people development. In 2012, Mr. Meoli was honored with McDonald’s Corporations most prestigious Owner/Operator award – the Golden Arch Award – which recognizes the achievements of the top 1% of Owner/Operators worldwide.
Mr. Meoli is very active in his community, serving on the board of directors for the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He is a past president of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce as well as a former Chairman of the Board for the Sussex Family YMCA. He also serves as Vice President of The Dresher Foundation, a Maryland-based family foundation established by his grandfather in 1988.
Within his business field, Mr. Meoli has served his fellow McDonald’s Owner/Operators in numerous local, regional and national positions. Currently, he serves as a member of the McDonald’s System Economics Team.
Mike and his wife Kelli have been married for 20 years and live in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with their three children – Rachel, Lauren and Dylan.
