James Wheatley is currently a mathematics teaching specialist at the University of Delaware. James has a masters in Educational Technology and is pursuing a second masters in Teacher Leadership from University of Delaware. He received District Teacher of the Year at the Woodbridge School District for the 2014-2015 school year. Throughout his teaching career he has implemented numerous technology initiatives in schools which ultimately led him to creating VR Wheatley; a business that utilizes Virtual Reality in education. VR Wheatley builds state of the art computers optimized for VR (1), provides custom installations for any environment, co-teaches with instructors, and provides tutorial videos/lesson plans through its online website, VRWheatley.com. James believes that Virtual Reality will play a huge role in the classroom of the future, with entire schools dedicating rooms to hardware that will give students a unique opportunity to engage, learn, and collaborate.
